While Tom can't wait for the start of the football season, Phil admits he could use a little more time to save up his energy (and money) for another season of Buckeyes football. However, both of our fearless podcasters have already identified a game during the first week that neither will miss (can you say Oregon at Boise State and Georgia at Okie State?). The guys differ on their opinion about a 13-year-old who has committed to play at Tennessee, while both understand Air Force's Troy Calhoun's complaint about the BCS. Oh yea, Tom gets his digs in on Rich Rodriguez and Bob Stoops again. Enjoy the show.

With the weak penalties being handed out to Alabama and Florida State, USC shouldn't be too concerned about the Reggie Bush fiasco. Phil and Tom also discuss how Penn State is waxing the floor with Pitt in its own backyard and snatching top recruits from the WPIAL. We are also wondering how the Big Ten has three of the top 10 revenue-earning programs in the nation, but still suck. Sorry, but we also broke our own self-imposed rule about not talking about Notre Dame. We just can't help ourselves.

We also take a look at the potential of BCS busters joining BCS conferences and does that make sense, as well as the most over-rated and most under-rated coaches today. We also think the NCAA will uphold its decision to take away victories from Bobby Bowden, and that Our Boy Lane Kiffin may actually be crazy. Enjoy.

Finally, Greg Paulus made a decision for his one year of football action. Phil and Tom also look at rising and declining conferences as well as a faux pas by the Sports Information Office at Notre Dame. Also, Phil peppers Tom with three quick hitters that involve WVU. Whoever it was didn't do their job. The legendary coach was spouting off about expanding the Big 10 to 12 teams so they could have a championship game. One of his choices to join? Pitt, a school he won't schedule right now as a great non-conference matchup. We also evaluate the value of preseason College Football magazines like Athlon, Street & Smith and Phil Steele and the value of the Mock Drafts. Let's not forget, we also update our picks for the Fulmer Cup.

Phil is enamored with the Columbus Blue Jackets and their first appearance in the NHL playoffs. But the big guy still made time to talk about his real love. So your two favorite podcasters predict two surprise winners in 2009, breakdown the Big 12 and SEC as well as ponder what could have been if Mitch Mustain had never left Arkansas. During Quick Hitters we call out Pete Carroll and Jim Leavitt and look at the NFL draft again.

College Football season never truly ends for Phil and Tom. Today we discuss the annoying development in recruiting that involves high school players trying to one up each other in how they announce their decision. We also look at the best quarterback coming out of college and the Mountain West Conference's plea to be included in the Bowl Championship Series. We also give you our dream game for WVU and Ohio State.

Well the Florida Gators are National Champs and it's time to go into the off season. Phil and Tom won't spend too much time talking about recruiting, but in this episode we will discuss a future that includes a playoff, make some stupid predictions for 2009, decide if Tim Tebow is about to become the most hated player in College Football history and what underclassmen have made the worst decision to come out early for the NFL Draft. Oh yea, and we'll talk about that BCS Championship game a little. We will continue to do the podcast, but now we are going to every other week until late summer.

Other topics include Boston College's Jeff Jagodzinki (can you still call him the BC coach?), split national championships, Steve Spurrier, Mike Leach and the announcing during the bowls.
